The SADV Golf Outing is one of our biggest events every year. There is so much that goes into planning for this outing. The committee volunteers the day of the event and helps plan accordingly for this event every October.
The scholarship committee invites our member’s sons and daughters to apply for The Robert Oliver Scholarship Award every year. Every student starting school in the Fall will have the opportunity to apply and attend an award dinner in June. The committee will review all applications and help plan the event. This Scholarship is named after an active long time SADV Board Member. The Robert Oliver Scholarship Award.
BPI is a resource like no other. We review General Contractors and Construction Managers (GC/CMs) and their business practices. At our monthly meetings, various GC/CMs who have projects and bidding opportunities in the city and surrounding areas are presented. Our members share information like future projects, ease of projects, management changes, payment terms, change orders, and contracts. In addition, BPI will let SADV members know when payments lengthen or when there’s a risk of not being paid.
There is an opportunity to be part of the BPI Team that helps with immediate inquiries from our members. By email, you would be required to provide quick response to member inquiries that cannot wait until our monthly meetings. The response time is typically a day or two. Then, that information will be shared at the monthly meeting.
The Development Team focuses on membership growth and retention, plus programs of meetings and events throughout the year. Because the team merges both committees, there is only one meeting for the group. The group meets once every 4-6 weeks depending on schedule and as needs basis. Come with ideas and support for SADV.
The Program Committee plans and discusses details for monthly meetings, breakfast with benefits topics, guest(s) speakers, educational training ideas, special events, General Contractor profiles, meet-and-greets, professional showcase, golf outings, and any other ideas and concepts for programs for SADV members. Program Committee meetings are part of the Development Team meetings.
